We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced veterinarian to join a well-established, purpose-built and family-owned mixed practice in the lower Hunter Valley.
We are looking for a positive and confident veterinarian to join our growing practice. We currently employ 5 Vets and 10 nurses with an emphasis on teamwork and patient care.
This exciting position will provide an attractive above award salary that will be commensurate with experience. This includes use of on-call car, mobile phone, CPD and study leave.
The position is approximately 65% small animals and 35% large animals, mainly pleasure horses and cattle, we also see sheep, goats, alpacas and everything in between, for the many hobby farmers in our district. We also offer equine dentistry and some reproductive work. There will be many opportunities for the successful applicant, with the unlimited support of some great mentors along the way.
Work life balance is a high priority to us and staff well-being and mental health is very important to us.
We are also passionate about wildlife and provide veterinary assistance and treatments for our local wildlife rescue groups.
Our clinic is equipped with all the modern technology such as, ultrasound, digital radiography, full in house idexx lab, iM3 dental machine, pulse oximeter and blood pressure monitoring. For our large animals, we have a horse crush and 4 indoor stables with yards attached, as well as equine dental and reproductive equipment.
The clinic is situated in Clarence Town, 40 minutes north of Newcastle and 2 ½ hours north of Sydney. A beautiful place to live with a family atmosphere, and if water skiing, kayaking or fishing is a pastime, the Williams River is a short walk away and we are only 35 minutes from the coast and vineyards.
