Pacific Vetcare is a locally owned and operated business in the beautiful Coffs Harbour coastal region of the NSW Mid North Coast.  We service the local area from four locations and have been established for over 40 years.  We provide caring and progressive treatment for both small (90%) and large animals (10%). We have a close working relationship with the local RSPCA Shelter & Wildlife rescue group WIRES.  Our current team of 16 veterinarians all have specific interest areas such as:-

• Small animal medicine and includes Feline Medicine Specialist Dr Kath Briscoe
• Small animal surgery
• Ophthalmology
• Imaging
• Equine performance, lameness work ups & surgery
• Avian medicine & surgery
• Visiting Specialists include:- Equine Surgeon Dr Nic Kannegieter, Ophthalmologist Dr James White & Dermatologist Dr Dani Hoolahan

Our Coffs Harbour & Sawtell clinic’s are purpose built veterinary hospitals fitted out with modern state of the art equipment including:

• Digital Xray (DR)
• Ultrasound
• Endoscopy
• Full range of general & orthopedic equipment
• Large animal surgery (Coffs Harbour facility).

Pacific Vetcare offers a supportive, friendly, caring and progressive working environment.  Each day consists of a widely varied case load where our vets are assisted by competent, qualified, highly skilled nurses and support staff. Our veterinarians work a 4 day week and 1 in 5 weekends, we are part of a combined afterhours service which means being on call an average of just 1 in 15 weekends. This position represents an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to pursue their own areas of interest.

Experienced & New Graduate Veterinarians are invited to apply for this full time position. Salary will be negotiable based on applicants skills and experience.  Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:-

• Qualification in BVSc & registration with Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW and hold a current NSW Drivers Licence.
• Interested in working mainly with small animals although in a mixed animal practice.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills with a talent for building rapport with patients, clients & colleagues.
• Ability to contribute & work within a caring and progressive team environment.
• Admirable work ethic, reliable and demonstrate pride in personal presentation.
