WANTED: Permanent part-time Small Animal Vet

WHERE: North Croydon Vet Clinic, eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, at the foot of the Yarra Valley

We at the North Croydon Vet Clinic are on the lookout for another vet to join our dynamic team. We are flexible with our requirements in the hope of finding the perfect person to fit into our progressive and fun clinic that boasts a varied caseload and the time and resources needed to work each case up. We are looking for a permanent part-time vet to complete our veterinary team, someone who is able to commit to 2-3 regular weekdays and ideally one in four Saturday morning shifts. Weekday shifts are either 9-3 or 9-6, and can be a mix of surgery and consulting. There is minimal time working sole-charge. We place a high value on a good work-life balance and as such we are closed on Sundays, public holidays and over the Christmas break, with no after-hours commitments.

We have a preference for an experienced veterinarian with a keen interest in surgery who has great communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience, but well above award. Continuing education is supported, with paid study leave and financial support for further learning.

Our clinic is a small but busy privately-owned practice. We have amazingly lovely and compliant clients (humans and pets alike!), and we pride our clinic on being a fun, easygoing place where all of our staff are more like friends and family than colleagues. We have fun toys such as an M6 Mindray ultrasound, the latest Canon DR digital x-ray machine, a brand new IM3 dental radiograph set-up, and some scope facilities among other things.
