The team at the Dungog Veterinary Hospital is seeking two enthusiastic mixed practice veterinarians to join with them in providing high standards of veterinary services to Dungog and the surrounding regions. The hospital is a 4-vet mixed practice located in the scenic foothills of the Barrington Tops National Park in the Hunter Valley - 2.5 hours drive north of Sydney, and just over an hour from the stunning coastline of Port Stephens and Newcastle as well as renowned vineyards of the Hunter Region.

Being an authentic mixed practice (50% small animal, 50% large animal), applicants can expect ready exposure to a broad range of cases in which to advance knowledge in all aspects of rural mixed practice. The hospital is well equipped with all the usual tools Ezyvet, Smartflow, in-house bloods, digital xray, ultrasound etc. Veterinarians are each provided with their own vehicles for ambulatory work. We provide a 24-hour emergency veterinary service to our region. A four-day weekend and financial incentives are given for partaking in a shared 1 in 4 roster.

Wage is commensurate with experience. The new graduate base starting wage is $80,000 + super.

Dungog Veterinary Hospital is a busy practice in a vibrant township with emerging local ventures and co-operatives including the Dungog Common Mountain Bike Trails and numerous local village shows, festivals and events. The main hospital is located in Dungog with a branch office in neighbouring Gresford.
