This course covers both ultrasound theory and practical sessions of the basic cardiac ultrasound & includes:
- Optimal machine settings and patient preparation
- M-Mode and B-Mode two dimensional examinations
- Doppler – what it means and how to use it in practice
- How to obtain useful echocardiographic measures for decision making
- How to diagnose the common acquired valvular diseases in the dog
- Useful measures in valve disease that can help with decision making on the ‘murmur’ dog
- Useful measures in the myocardium for disease
This Fast-Track weekend is aimed at building skills – with the morning sessions spent on theory and afternoon sessions on practical scanning.
